Jong-Hsiang Yang, one of Taiwan’s leading science educators

Briefly ...

... I began teaching science and mathematics at Northampton Junior High school in Western Australia in 1964. Since then I have been involved in science education in Australia, England and the United States until the present time. At the moment I am Presidential Professor of Urban Education at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. As coordinator of the science, mathematics and technology specialization I undertake research in schools in New York City, teacher courses in the Urban Education doctoral program, and supervise approximately 14 doctoral candidates.

I am founding co-editor of Cultural Studies of Science Education with Catherine Milne, a journal that is presently publishing Volume 6. I also co-edit two book series published by Springer.

I am editor/co-editor (with Catherine Milne) of two book series with Sense Publishers.
